Women's Lacrosse Adds Nine Student-Athletes for Upcoming Season

PAINESVILLE, OHIO --  Lake Erie College women's lacrosse coach Laura Maness has announced the commitment of nine student-athletes who will join the Storm program beginning with the 2011 season.  The newcomers come to Painesville from five different states, including four from Ohio and two from New York.

There are two all-state performers in Casi Wicks and Annie Mendoza, as well as several members of league and district championship teams in the class.  High School teammates Marie Millard and Emily Rock played on Lakota West's state runner-up team two seasons ago.

"I really look forward to watching our team take form this year," said head coach Laura Maness, who guided the Storm to a 7-7 overall record in its first season a year ago.  "I believe our team will be stronger and competitive this season with these new additions and the group of 11 returners we have coming back."
