Beginning with the 2012 season, the Lake Erie College softball team now has a permanent exclusive home at Diamond 9. Located within the sprawling Painesville Kiwanis Recreation Park complex, Diamond 9 is the former home to the Painesville men's Softball League, but was retrofitted for NCAA Softball during 2011.
Improvements to the facility include new outfield fencing and the installation of new light fixtures for night games, as well as a renovated press box interior and public address/sound system. Future projects include improved drainage, replacement of the dugouts and backstop as well as improved signage and an outfield scoreboard.
Prior to moving to Diamond 9, the Storm played its home games on campus at Slattery Field, a natural grass facility it shared with the men's and women's soccer programs, and shared Diamond 4 with the Painesville Harvey High School softball team during the 2011 season.
