"Brandon can flat out hit the ball," said Head Coach Brian McGee. "Hitting is just part of what he brings to the table as his defense, running and leadership are all going to help us win ballgames."

James led the team in hitting this season with the second highest average in school history, .411, and also was the only player on the team to start every game.  He finished with 60 hits and 44 runs scored – both school single-season records- along with eight home runs, 37 runs batted in, a team-high three triples and 11 stolen bases.  The school's all-time leader in stolen bases, James led the team in walks (21) and on-base percentage (.651) and had hitting streaks of 13 and 11 during the year. James is a two-sport athlete as a starting receiver on the Storm football team.

He was honored for his 2010 season by being named to the East Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division II All-Star Team and to the ABCA Midwest Region Second Team.
