Storm Set for Home-and-Home Against Malone (PREVIEW)

The Lake Erie College baseball team continues Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play with a home-and-home series against Malone University.  The Storm hosts the Pioneers for a home doubleheader Sunday (March 29) before playing two in Canton Monday (March 30).

LAST TIME OUT: The Storm picked up a four-game sweep of the University of Findlay on the road last weekend.  The Storm limited the Oilers to just three runs in the four games, including two shutouts.  In game two of the series, Heath Kelley pitched a complete game, two-hitter. 

SERIES HISTORY: The Storm and Pioneers have met 10 times previously, with Malone winning six.  Last season, the Storm took two-of-three from the Pioneers in Canton.

OPPOSITION POSITION: Malone enters the weekend with a 12-8 overall record, including a 3-1 mark in GLIAC play.  Last weekend, the Pioneers took three-of-four games from Hillsdale.  They defeated Walsh University in a nine-inning, nonconference game earlier in the week. 

FORECAST: The Storm takes on Mercyhurst University Tuesday (March 31) before returning to GLIAC play against at Walsh Friday (April 3)
