PAINESVILLE, Ohio-- Lake Erie College baseball standout Aaron Lindgren signed a pro contract with the Lake County Crushers of the Frontier League.
Lindgren (Willoughby, Ohio/Willoughby South), a center fielder, put up tremendous numbers in his career with the Storm. For his career, Lindgren hit .312 in 583 at-bats. Of his 182 hits, 37 were doubles and 27 were homeruns. He accounted for 132 RBIs and 125 runs with a slugging percentage of .559. This past season, Lindgren earned First-Team All-GLIAC honors after hitting .326 with 39 runs, 14 doubles, eight homeruns and a slugging percentage of .645.
"Aaron has extraordinary athleticism and is a mentally fierce competitor," said Storm Head Coach Brian McGee. "I expect for him to do very well and I am extremely happy for him and wish him the best of luck in his journey."
Lindgren joins the list of Storm alum who have continued their playing career after college, including current Texas Rangers outfielder Ryan Rua.
The Crushers are based out of Avon, Ohio and compete in the East Division of the Frontier League.
