Baseball Travels to Gannon for Road Test (PREVIEW)

The Lake Erie College baseball team returns to the diamond Tuesday (March 14) for a nine inning road contest at Gannon University.

LAST TIME OUT: The Storm fell to the University of Indianapolis, 12-11, on March 6.  Rutger Luebke led the Storm offense, going five-of-five with a homerun, double, two RBI and two runs. Lucas Raley went three-of-three with three walks, a homerun, RBI and two runs.  Nigel Williams and Rees Rua had two hits apiece.  Rua had a team-high three RBI. Zak  DeCamp, Ryan Grieco and Kody Bledsoe had one RBI.  Bledsoe came across the plate three times while Grieco scored twice.  Louie Peterlin had one run while Tyler Kmitt  had a RBI. Michael Poole faced the most batters for the Storm on the mound.  In relief, he went 3.2 innings, surrendering three runs on six hits with three strikeouts.  Connor Fuller started the game for the Storm on the mound.

SERIES HISTORY: This marks the first game between the Storm and the Golden Knights since 2010, where the teams split a four-game series in Painesville.

OPPOSITION POSITION: The Golden Knights enter the game with a 11-5 record.  They are coming off a win over the University of Findlay.

UP NEXT: The Storm travels to Davis & Elkins for a four-game series this weekend.
