Storm Travels to West Virginia to Face Davis & Elkins (PREVIEW)

The Lake Erie College baseball team travels to Davis & Elkins for a four-game series this weekend before kicking off Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play next week.

LAST TIME OUT: The Storm fell to Gannon University 11-7 in a nine-inning game Tuesday (March 15). Lucas Raley and Ryan Grieco had a pair of hits apiece while eight other batters had a hit.  Jake Csizmadia had two RBI while Nico DiIanni, Tyler Bires, Zak DeCamp, Grieco and Austin Bovenzi had one. Damian Maglione had a pair of runs. David Lemasters started the game on the mound for the Storm.  He went 4.0 innings, allowing one earned run with six strikeouts.  Jeremy Wei was effective in relief, going two innings allowing no hits with two strikeouts.

SERIES HISTORY:  The Senators own a 2-0 advantage in games against the Storm.  This weekend marks the first games between the schools since 2009.  Last year's doubleheader was cancelled due to rain.

OPPOSITION POSITION: The Senators enter the game with a 5-10 overall record.  They are coming off of a pair of losses to California University of Pennsylvania.

UP NEXT: The Storm is back in action March 25 to open home and GLIAC play against Malone University.
