After the dust cleared, Lake Erie held an 8-3 lead at the halfway mark.

The Fighting Scots rallied for three runs in the bottom of the ninth but the run was extinguished with a Christopher Mutter (Cleves, Ohio / Taylor) strikeout.

Waller had three hits and two RBI. Longeway, Carver, Birchmeier and Rua all had two hits apiece. Longeway and Carver each scored two runs while Rua drove in three runs and Birchmeier accounted for two RBI.
