Storm Closes Series With #16 Panthers (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio - The Lake Erie College baseball team will continue Great Midwest North Division play on Wednesday (April 11) afternoon with a single game against the #16 Ohio Dominican University Panthers. The Storm will host the Panthers at Classic Park, starting at 12:00 PM.
Storm Report: Lake Erie is 11-13-1 overall and 9-5 in the G-MAC after the Storm dropped a doubleheader against Ohio Dominican on Sunday (April 8). The Panthers defeated the Storm 15-4 and 13-1. Trace Peterson (Medina, Ohio / Medina) leads the team with a .352 batting average, 23 runs, 32 hits, eight homeruns and 18 RBI. Corbin Paxton (Sylvania, Ohio / Sylvania Southview) and Sam Browning (Cincinnati, Ohio / Archbishop McNicholas) each had three hits in the doubleheader against Ohio Dominican.
Opposition Position: Ohio Dominican is 22-5 overall and 11-1 in the G-MAC as the 16th ranked team in the NBCWA Coaches Poll. The Panthers split a doubleheader with Kentucky Wesleyan on March 31st. Justin Childers leads the Panthers with a .436 batting average, 49 runs and six homeruns. 
Series History: Ohio Dominican holds a 17-11 advantage in the series from the two schools' time in the GLIAC. Ohio Dominican took the first two games of the 2018 season series. 
Storm Forecast: The Storm will travel to Walsh for a G-MAC doubleheader on Saturday (April 14).
