PAINESVILLE, OHIO - Lake Erie College will its second annual Youth Football Day on Saturday, Oct. 31, in conjunction with the Storm football team's home finale against Kentucky Wesleyan College. Area children will be admitted to the game for free by wearing their youth team jersey.
Kickoff time is 1 p.m. at Jack Britt Memorial Stadium at Kiwanis Recreational Park in Painesville.
"We really look forward to having kids from the surrounding communities come out and be part of our gameday experience," said Storm head coach Mark McNellie. "The day is an opportunity for children to spend quality time with a parent or role model and learn about sportsmanship and the fundamentals of college football in a fun, family-oriented atmosphere. We had a great turnout last year and hope to have a great crowd again this year."
Parents attending with a youth football player receiving free admission will receive a discounted ticket for just $4. Plus, as an added bonus, youngsters will be able to participate in a special halftime "trick-or-treat" sponsored by the Lake Erie College Department of Athletics.
Those not sporting their team jerseys and encouraged to dress up in costume to enjoy the festivities.
