Quick Notes: With a pair of victories to open the month, Lake Erie goes for its third straight win week against Findlay in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division matchup. The Storm (2-5, 2-4 GLIAC) has won two straight after opening the season with a five-game losing streak. However, two of those five losses came by a total of seven points… Saturday is also Career Services "Employer Appreciation Day" and at halftime there will be free trick-or-treat for children 12-and-under as part of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) "Trick or Treat on the Track"… Redshirt junior QB Brendan Gallagher accounted for four total touchdowns in just his second career start and freshman Brandon Phenix rushed for a career-high 145 yards as the Storm overcame a sluggish third quarter to come back and defeat Malone, 35-24, at home last Saturday on Homecoming/Alumni Weekend… Phenix's 145-yard effort was the fifth 100-yard game by a Storm running back this season and pushed him past the 500-yard mark for the season.  His previous high was 130 yards in the opener at Gannon... Phenix and classmate Anthony Bilal, who added 62 rushing yards on Saturday against Malone, have combined to run for 1,071 yards and 11 touchdowns in seven games this season.  As a team, the Storm has gained 613 yards on the ground the last two games and is averaging 209 yards per game this season... Gallagher's other start was a 13-10 win over Gannon in the 2011 season opener. His two TDs rushing marked the fifth time this season Lake Erie has had at least one player rush for a pair of scores in a game... Anthony Kukwa, who leads the team in receiving, did not catch a pass last week but added a big play with his legs, setting up a Storm touchdown with a 52-yard run on an option pitch... Sophomore Tanner Wells has totaled 22 tackles, one sack and two interceptions in the last two games. He is the second player this season to intercept a pass in two straight games...Tyler Lindgren's 36-yard touchdown catch and run was the first score of his collegiate career... Cole Gordon caught a 10-yard TD against Malone, his second this season and the fourth of his career... the LEC defense had four sacks against Malone, the most since setting a school-record with eight at Gannon in the first game of the season... freshman Xavier Dowdell picked off his first career interception last week.  The Storm had three takeaways in that game and is plus-five in turnover margin during their two-game winning streak... senior kicker Sam Marcotte extended his career-long scoring streak to 40 games by converting all five extra point attempts last week… Findlay (4-2, 4-2 GLIAC) had its modest two-game winning streak snapped last week at home by Ohio Dominican University, 63-31… Each of the first two meetings between the Storm and Oilers has come down to the very end.  In 2010, Sam Marcotte kicked a 22-yard field goal as time expired to give the Storm a wild 48-45 win at Findlay – the first GLIAC win in school history.  Last season, the two teams again went back-and-forth before Jamon McClain intercepted Sean Bedevelsky in the end zone with two seconds left to preserve a 35-31 win for the Oilers.

Up Next: Lake Erie is on the road next week, Oct. 27, at Walsh University for its final night game of the season.  Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Fawcett Stadium in Canton.
