Three Men’s Basketball Players Named to the NABC Honors Court

Three men's basketball players, graduated seniors Jeremy Bliancione (New Port Richey, Fla./River Ridge) and Jimmy Kerrigan (Strongsville, Ohio/Midpark) and current senior Matt Grendel (Independence, Ohio/Independence), were named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court.

The NABC Honors Court recognizes those collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the 2010-11 season. To make the team, players must have at least a junior standing and a 3.2 cumulative GPA while having spend at least a full season at the institution.

A member of the Storm for four seasons, Bilancione appeared in 34 games in his Lake Erie career and has been a valuable member of the program in a support­ing role. The guard graduated as a business administration major with a 3.60  GPA

Kerrigan finished his second season as a member of the Storm basketball team and has been a key contributor to the Storm front line each year. The center majored in business administration and carried a 3.45 GPA. 

Grendel will return for his fourth season at Lake Erie as one of the key members of the team, having started 16 games in 2010-11.  The forward is an education major and carries a 3.74 GPA.
