Notable: The Storm return to the court for the in the 2012-13 season to play NCAA Division I Bowling Green State University in an exhibition game in Bowling Green, Ohio on Friday (Nov. 9) at 7:00. The Storm (10-16, 5-14 GLIAC in 2011-12) finished last season in sixth place in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference South Division...Lake Erie is projected to finish sixth in the South Division again this year in the annual preseason poll. Four starters return for the Storm this year as they welcome six newcomers. Junior forward Rich Austin (Cleveland, Ohio/St. Ignatius) returns after leading the Storm in ppg. (12.2) and rpg. (6.2) in 2011-12...Austin was named to the Preseason All-GLIAC South Division Second-Team...Classmate Riley Thomas (Cardington, Ohio/Cardington-Lincoln) led the Storm with 2.6 apg. as well as averaging 10.3 ppg...Junior guard Tom Parker (Cleveland, Ohio/St. Ignatius) averaged 4.7 ppg. and 2.4 apg....Redshirt junior center Garrick Sims (Barberton, Ohio/Barberton) returns for the Storm this season after sitting out 2011-12 with an injury...Sims averaged 8.0 ppg., shooting .497, and led the Storm with 6.6 rpg. in 2010-11...Redshirt sophomore Jamil Dudley (Massillon, Ohio/Massillon) made an impact as the sixth man last year, averaging 7.0 ppg, including a career high 24 against Ohio Dominican University on February 4th...Nate Tait (South Euclid/Brush/Alderson-Broaddus) averaged 8.9 ppg., and collected 32 steals his first season with the green and white. Clint Hunt returns to the helm of the Storm after picking up his 100th career win against Ashland University in the final game of the 2011-12 schedule. Bowling Green (16-16 in 2011-12) returns nine letterwinner and three starters from last year's team that finished fifth in the Mid-American Conference East Division.
