NOTABLES: The Storm look to recover from a pair of losses last weekend as it heads to Detroit to face Wayne State University in their first Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) road game Sunday, Dec. 9. Lake Erie opened GLIAC play with losses to Ferris State University and Grand Valley State University. The Storm surrendered a halftime lead against Ferris State Thursday night only to send the game into overtime when junior guard Riley Thomas (Cardington, Ohio/Cardington-Lincoln) hit a lay-up with one second left in regulation. But, Lake Erie was unable to find its footing in the extra session as they dropped the contest, 80-74. Grand Valley State held the Storm to just 29.2% shooting from the floor as they ran away with Saturday's game 68-48. The shooting was the lowest output this season but they are still shooting 46.4% on the year. Tom Parker (Cleveland, Ohio/St. Ignatius), Jamil Dudley (Massillon, Ohio/Massillon) and Thomas are all averaging greater than 50% shooting from three-point range and Lake Erie is shooting 45.2% from there as a team. Rich Austin (Cleveland, Ohio/St. Ignatius) is the leading the Storm in rebounding with 7.2 per game and Garrick Sims (Barberton, Ohio/Barberton) is contributing 4.2 per game. The Wayne State University Warriors enter Sunday's contest with a 4-1 record overall and 3-0 in GLIAC play. The Warriors head into the game riding a four-game winning streak.

UP NEXT FOR LEC: The Storm travel to West Virginia on Wednesday, Dec. 12, to face Salem International University for a non-conference game at 4:00 pm.
