NOTABLES: The Storm try to snap their three-game losing streak as they travel to Salem, W. Va., on Wednesday (Dec. 11) afternoon to face Salem International University in a non-conference match-up. Lake Erie is coming off an 82-61 road loss at Wayne State University Sunday. The Warriors forced the Storm to commit 22 turnovers which they converted into 36 points and went 25-of-34 from the the free-throw line. Rich Austin (Cleveland. Ohio/St. Ignatius) led the Storm with 14 points while Jamil Dudley (Massillon, Ohio/Massillon) and Garrick Sims (Barberton, Ohio/Barberton) also scored in double digits- 13 and 11 respectively- for Lake Erie. Despite the loss, the Storm shot well, going 46.8% from the floor, 53.8% from beyond the arch, and 83.3% from the free-throw line. The Storm are undefeated in non-conference play this season, picking up wins over Point Park University, Notre Dame College and Slippery Rock University. Lake Erie has been exceptional at forcing turnovers this season, ranking second in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) in turnovers forced (18.3) and steals (9.7) per game. The Salem International Tigers are coming off a 73-67 win over the University of Rio Grande on Monday (Dec. 10) and are 5-6 on the season.
