NOTABLES: The Lake Erie College men's basketball team takes its final roadtrip of the 2012-13 season this weekend as they travel to Hillsdale College and the University of Findlay. The Storm split their homestand last weekend, defeating Malone University 86-76 Thursday before falling to Walsh University 72-51 Saturday. Junior Riley Thomas (Cardington, Ohio/Cardington-Lincoln) scored 24 points in the win over Malone, going a perfect 12-of-12 from the free-throw line. In a four-game stretch from Jan. 26-Feb. 7, the third-year guard averaged 20 ppg. while going a perfect 25-of-25 from the charity stripe. Sophomore guard Trey Howard (Lima, Ohio/Lima-Shawnee) scored a career high 16 points against Malone. The second-year guard is averaging 5.1 ppg. but has averaged 11.0 ppg. in the past five. The Storm currently leads the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) with 9.2 steals per game. Hillsdale (15-6, 11-6 GLIAC) enters Thursday's contest on a three-game winning streak, picking up wins over Findlay, Tiffin University and Ohio Dominican University over that stretch. The Chargers are currently sitting in second in the South Division. Tim Dezelski leads Hillsdale with 16.2 ppg. Findlay (15-6, 12-5 GLIAC) has won its last two contests against Ohio Dominican and Tiffin after falling to Hillsdale Feb. 2. The first-place Oilers are at Ashland University Thursday night. Greg Kahlig leads Findlay with 16.0 ppg.
