LAKE ERIE COLLEGE VS. TEXAS A&M KINGSVILLE (NOV. 14)
LAKE ERIE COLLEGE VS. HENDERSON STATE (NOV. 15)
The Lake Erie College men's basketball team opens up the 2014 regular season in Texas against Texas A&M Kingsville and Henderson State University Friday and Saturday (Nov. 14-15)
The Storm team looks to make an impact in the GLIAC during the 2014-15 season. The Storm losses several starts from last year's team due to graduation but return several key players. Michael Morris returns for his sophomore year after a solid freshman campaign. Morris averaged 8.1 ppg. and 3.5 rpg. He was an efficient shooter, hitting 45.4% of his shots including 43.2% from beyond the three point arch. Sean Howard also saw significant playing time last year as a freshman. Howard averaged 6.2 ppg. while shooting 45.9% from the floor and 47.6% on threes. Andy Bosley and Roy Alexander also saw significant time last season. Bosley averaged 6.3 ppg. while Alexander averaged 4.5 ppg. The Storm also returns Trey Howard and Jamil Dudley who missed last season.
The Storm welcomes three freshmen to this year's team. Guards Jordan Michael from Fairborn, Ohio and Kyle Hagey from nearby Mentor, Ohio will provide some depth at the position. Center Ryan Nutter joins the Storm from Mineral Ridge, Ohio and will add depth behind junior Steve Walczak.
