HILLSDALE, Mich. – The Lake Erie College men's basketball team was defeated by Hillsdale College today (December 14th), 68-58. With the loss the Storm fall to 4-3 overall and 1-2 in the conference and with the win the Chargers improve to 5-1 overall and 3-1 in conference play.
The Storm opened the game on an 8-1 run that was stopped by a timeout by Hillsdale. The run was highlighted by junior guard Andy Bosley (Columbus, Ohio / Orange) who made a layup and the and-one after being fouled. Sophomore guard Sean Howard (Indianapolis, Ind. / Lawrence North) hit a three pointer off an assist by Bosley, which lead to the Chargers timeout. Hillsdale went on a 19-0 run that ended with 2:06 to play in the first half with the score, 25-15 in favor of Hillsdale.
After trading buckets for the majority of the second half the Storm went on a 9-3 run to cut the lead to four points with 3:22 remaining in the game. The run was highlighted by senior forward Jamil Dudley (Massillon, Ohio / Massillon) who hit a three pointer.
The Strom were led by Bosley who had 18 points on 5-10 shooting. Dudley led the team in rebounds with six and added 10 points for the Storm. Howard led the way with three assist and also added eight points.
Lake Erie College will be back in action when they travel to take on Saginaw Valley St. on (December 16th) at 7:30 P.M.
