Storm Wraps Up Road Trip at Malone (PREVIEW)

The Lake Erie College men's basketball team wraps up a three-game road trip on Thursday (Jan. 15) when they visit Malone University for a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) game.

LAST TIME OUT: The Storm dropped a pair of games in the Upper Peninsula last weekend. Against Michigan Tech University Thursday (Jan. 8), the Storm fell 82-78.  Nick Wells led the Storm with 15 poin The Storm fell to Northern Michigan University Saturday (Jan. 10) 62-50. Wells also led the Storm in scoring that game, netting 10 points.  

SERIES HISTORY: The Storm is 5-1 all-time against Malone.  Last season, the Storm split their season series with the Pioneers.  In Painesville, the Storm defeated the Pioneers 98-93.  Riley Thomas led the Storm with a career-high 33 points.  The Storm fell in Canton in their second meeting last year, 71-57.  Thomas had a team-high 12 points in the game.

OPPOSITION POSITION: The Pioneers are 4-10 this season and 2-6 in GLIAC play.  In their last outing, the Pioneers defeated Grand Valley State University 81-61 on the road.  Ben Haraway leads the Pioneers in scoring this season, averaging 13.6 points per game.

FORECAST: The Storm is back at home Saturday (Jan. 17) against Walsh University.
