PAINESVILLE, Ohio— In a game that featured 10 ties and thirteen lead changes, the Lake Erie College men's basketball team picked up a 58-56 win over Tiffin University Thursday night (Feb. 19) in Painesville.

The Dragons jumped out to a 4-0 lead before Andy Bosley (Columbus, Ohio/Orange) hit a three-pointer.  After the Dragons increased the lead to four, Bosley stole the ball and dunked it to cut the lead in half.  Jamil Dudley (Massillon, Ohio/Massillon) followed Andy's dunk with a three-pointer to give the Storm their first lead.  The Dragons regained the lead and held on to a 13-10 advantage with ten to play in the opening half.  With the Strom trailing 14-11, Roy Alexander (Columbus, Ohio/Walnut Ridge) converted a traditional three-point play to tie the game.  Once again, the Dragons took a three point lead but Sean Howard (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence North) hit a three to tie it up.  Collin Barth (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) gave the Storm a lead late in the first-half with a three-pointer.  However, Tiffin entered the half with a 23-21 lead.

Howard and Bosley led the Storm with ten point apiece in the opening half.  Dudley, Alexander and Barth had three apiece.

After back-and-forth action to start the second half, Bosley gave the Storm a 28-26 with a three-pointer.  Nick Wells (Akron, Ohio/St. Vincent-St. Mary) hit a three on the Storm's next possession to maintain the lead.  The Dragons regained the lead but Trey Howard (Lima, Ohio/Lima Shawnee) hit a three to put the Storm back in front, 35-34.  The Dragons went on a 5-1 run but Alexander hit another three to tie the game at 39.  Tiffin scored the next basket but Sean Howard converted a traditional three-point play to give the Storm the lead.  After the Dragons matched the basket, Dudley hit a three to give the Storm a 45-43 lead.  The Dragons regained the lead, 47-45, off a quick four-point run but Sean Howard hit a pair of free-throws to tie it up heading into the final five minutes.

Alexander hit both ends of a one-and-one following the final media timeout to give the Storm a 49-47 lead but the Dragons answered with their own free-throws.  Dudley hit his third three of the game to push the Storm ahead but once again, the Dragons matched it on the ensuing possession.   Sean Howard converted a pair of free-throws to give the Storm the lead once more.  After a defensive stop, the Storm put together a long possession, ending with a Steve Walczak (Columbus, Ohio/Olentangy) lay-up.  The Dragons cut the lead to one with a free-throw but Walczak matched brought the lead back up to two.

After the free-throw, the Dragons cut the lead to one, 57-56, with a three-pointer.  Alexander hit a free-throw to increase the Storm lead to two with eleven seconds to play.  The Dragons had a couple chances in the final seconds but were unable to convert as the Storm held on for the win.

Bosley led the Storm with 13 points.  Sean Howard ended the game with 12 points, hitting all five of his free-throws.  Alexander and Dudley had nine points and three rebounds apiece.  Walczak and Trey Howard had four points while Barth and Wells had three.  Nick Deitsch (Lewis Center, Ohio/Orange) had a team-high five rebounds.
