PAINESVILLE, Ohio— The Lake Erie College men's basketball team's comeback fell short against Cedarville University as they fell 59-57 Tuesday (Dec. 15) in Painesville.

The game marked the final nonconference game for the Storm this season.

After teams trading baskets for the first several minutes, the Yellow Jackets quietly pulled ahead, 20-14, 13 minutes in.  The lead increased to nine, 27-17, at its peak with three minutes left in the half, but the Storm cut the lead to 28-22 heading into the break.

Michael Morris (New Palestine, Ind./New Palestine) and Collin Barth (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) led the Storm with six points in the opening half.

The Storm started the second half hot, going on an 8-2 run to tie the game.  The teams went back-and-forth until the Storm gained a 44-40 advantage.  However, the lead was short lived as the Yellow Jackets went on a 7-0 run to regain control with just over five minutes to play.

After a Storm timeout, Andy Bosley (Columbus, Ohio/Orange) hit a pair of threes to give the Storm a 50-48 lead with five minutes to play.  Once again, the lead was short lived as the Jackets ended the game on a 10-2 run for the win.

Bosley led the Storm with 18 points, six rebounds and three blocks.  Morris was also in double figures with 12 points while grabbing a team-high eight rebounds.  Barth ended the game with nine points.  Roy Alexander (Columbus, Ohio/Walnut Grove) and Steve Walczak (Columbus, Ohio/Olentangy) had four rebounds apiece.

The Storm returns to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) action Saturday (Dec. 17) against Saginaw Valley State University.
