PAINESVILLE, Ohio- The Lake Erie College men's basketball team will commence the home schedule with the home opener against the Fighting Scots of Edinboro University on Wednesday (Nov. 16) night.
Storm Warning: Lake Erie dropped both games over the weekend while in Indianapolis, falling 90-77 to the University of Southern Indiana on Saturday (Nov. 12) and 81-73 to the University of Indianapolis on Sunday (Nov. 13). The Storm is shooting 45% from the floor in two games.
Opposition Position: Edinboro is 1-0 on the season after a 90-74 win over Thiel College on Saturday. Jaymon Mason led the Fighting Scots with 24 points in the season opener.
Series History: The Storm and the Fighting Scots have faced off on the court three times since the Storm joined NCAA Division II. In 2009, the teams split the matchups. Last season, Lake Erie defeated Edinboro 80-67 on the road. Andy Bosley led the Storm with 24 points and seven rebounds. Sean and Trey Howard each added 14 points in the win.
Home Cooking: Lake Erie will look to improve on a 6-7 record at home from last year. The Storm fared better at home then on the road (3-10).
Storm Forecast: The Storm will travel to face Seton Hill University on the road next Tuesday (Nov. 22).
