PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College men's basketball team will be in action Thursday (Dec 15) and Saturday (Dec 17) when they travel to take on Lake Superior State and Northwood University respectively.

Storm Report:  The Storm is coming off a week in which they picked up their first conference win on the season.  Head coach Kyle Conley said "Nick Wells (Indianapolis, Ind. / Lawrence North) Gabe Kynard (Toledo, Ohio / St. John's), and Jordan Humphrey (Columbus, Ohio / Westerville South) all had a tremendous week which helped propel the Storm over Michigan Tech".

Opposition Position: Playing the Lakers on the road is a challenge as they are traditionally a strong GLIAC team.  Coach Conley said "Akaemji Williams is the leading scorer in the GLIAC and they play through him.  They play an up tempo style, and they have the most explosive offense in the conference".  Northwood is 2-9 overall and 1-2 in the conference.  "The Timberwolves have a similar record to us and are talented but young" said coach Conley.  Coach Conley said "consistent defense and strong rebounding is what it will take for the Storm to come away with two victories on the road trip".

Forecast: Lake Erie will return to the hardwood Tuesday (Dec. 19) when they travel to take on Division-I opponent Cleveland St. in an exhibition game.
