PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College men's basketball team will be in action Thursday (Dec 14) at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday (Dec 16.) at 2 p.m. when they travel to take on Alderson Broaddus and Davis and Elkins respectively.
Storm Report: The Storm is 6-3 overall and 1-0 in conference play, and are coming off a 71-61 win over Shawnee State. Head Coach Kyle Conley said, "We need to play with a tremendous defensive effort. Road games are won on the defensive end, and we need to get stops".
Opposition Position: The Battlers are 7-2 overall and 2-1 in the conference, and are coming off a win over West Virginia Wesleyan College. Coach Conley said, "Alderson Broaddus is one of the best teams in our league. They have an explosive combination of guards, we need to match up and play great team defense." The Senators are 1-6 overall and 0-3 in Great Midwest action, and enter the game with the Storm on a four game losing streak. Coach Conley added, "The Senators are a very athletic team, as they are good in transition and on the offensive glass."
Coach Conley concluded, "We need to be good in our transition defense and be fundamentally sound on the offensive side the ball."
Forecast: Lake Erie will return to the hardwood Tuesday (Dec.19) when they travel to take on Kentucky Wesleyan, with the game set to tip at 4:15 p.m.
