(PAINESVILLE, Ohio) – The Lake Erie men's basketball team returns home after the longest road trip of the year for the final four home games of the regular season. First up is Ohio Dominican who enters at 12-9 overall and 8-6 in the G-MAC, while the Storm stands at 13-7 overall and 8-4 within the conference.
While there are still plenty of games left, it's a pivotal matchup for both squads. The Storm currently sits in fourth place in the G-MAC standings, one game ahead the sixth-place Panthers. The top eight teams qualify for the conference tournament with the top four teams earning a home game in the quarterfinals.
Ohio Dominican has had the Storm's number as of late and have won the last three meetings. Earlier this year the Panthers narrowly edged the Green and White in Columbus by the score of 83-78. Gabe Kynard led Lake Erie with 24 points while Brogan Scott added 13 and Jordan Humphrey totaled 11.
The Panthers countered with a balanced attack that was a point away from all five starters scoring in double figures.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. A small presentation of the wrestling team celebrating its recent conference championship will also take place at the game.
