Storm Set for ECAC Championships

GREENSBURG, PA.

The Lake Erie College men's lacrosse team defends the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship this weekend in the four-team tournament hosted by Seton Hill University.

SEEDS: The Storm enters the tournament as the second-seed and will play third-seeded Mercyhurst University.  Top-seed Seton Hill will play fourth-seed Lindenwood University.

REGULAR SEASON REPORT: The Storm ended the regular season with a program-best 12-2 record.  They picked up wins over the top-, second-, eighth-, ninth-, 11th-, 13th- and 14th-ranked teams in the country this season.

OPPOSITION POSITION: The Lakers enter the semifinals of the Championships with an 8-5 record and ranked 14th in the country.  They are coming off a close win against Wheeling Jesuit University.

SERIES HISTORY: The Storm and Lakers have met eight times previously, with the Lakers winning seven.  Earlier in the season, the Storm defeated the Lakers 9-7 in Painesville.  Mitchell Shafer led the Storm with four goals in the game while Reagan Harding scored three.
