PERRY, N.Y.-- Three members of the Lake Erie College men's lacrosse team earned All-American honors through the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association announced Monday (May 18).
Seniors Reagan Harding (Saskatoon, Sask./Bishop James Mahoney) and Justin Goodwin (New Westminster, B.C./New Westminster Secondary) earned the program's first First-Team honors while freshman Lucas Shafer (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg) was named a Honorable Mention.
Harding earned his third All-American honor after earning Second-Team honors the past two seasons. Harding finished the year with 54 points on 44 goals and 10 assists. He also had 32 groundballs and went 55-of-94 (58.5%) on face-offs. Harding scored three or more goals in eight games this year and had three games with five goals.
Goodwin earns his third All-American honors after previously earning Honorable Mention and Third-Team selections. This season, Goodwin collected 105 groundballs and caused 53 turnovers. Goodwin picked up seven or more groundballs eight times, including a season-high of 14 against Lindenwood University. Against Roberts Wesleyan College and Mercyhurst University, Goodwin caused six turnovers. In addition to his defensive prowess, Goodwin scored four goals and assisted on three.
Shafer earned a Honorable Mention selection after an outstanding rookie campaign. Shafer led the Storm with 59 points on 39 goals and 20 assists. Shafer scored four or more goals in five games and had seven games of five or more points. In addition to his success on offense, Shafer caused 14 turnovers and collected 33 groundballs.
