PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College men's soccer team was defeated today by Northwood University, 3-0. With the loss the Storm falls to 4-4-1 overall and 4-2-1 in the conference and with the win the Timberwolves improve to 7-1 overall and 6-1 in conference play.
Northwood took a 1-0 advantage with 22 minutes remaining in the first half when James Vaughn scored off of an assist by Keaton Levock.
The Timberwolves added to their lead in the second half when Michael Ankoviak scored off of a corner kick from Levock, to make the score 2-0 in favor of Northwood. Levock made the score 3-0 when he scored an unassisted goal for the Timberwolves.
In net for the Storm was Filip Ljubevski (Ajax, Ont. / Pikering) he faced 18 shots, seven of which were on goal, made four saves, and allowed three goals.
Lake Erie will be back in action Friday (October 9th) when they host Findlay at 7:30 P.M.
