Storm Opens Great Midwest Play Against Cedarville (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio- After two non-conference games to begin the 2017 season, the Lake Erie College men's soccer team will open the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) schedule with a home matchup with Cedarville University on Saturday (Sept. 9).

Storm Report: Lake Erie opens conference play with a 1-1 overall record. The Storm fell 2-0 to Slippery Rock in the home opener on Sunday (Sept. 3). Ezekiel Ebenezer (Columbia, Md. / Long Reach) has two goals for the Storm and Javier Borreguero (Nigran, Spain / Los Sauces School) had one goal and two assists in the Storm's first two games.

Opposition Position: Cedarville comes to Painesville with a 0-3 overall record and a 0-1 GMAC record. The Yellow Jackets opened Great Midwest play with a 4-0 loss at Ohio Valley.

Series History: The Storm and Yellow Jackets have never faced off on the pitch since Lake Erie moved to Division II.

Storm Forecast: Lake Erie will open a three game road trip at Findlay on September 14th.
