BAY CITY, Mich.—Three members of the Lake Erie College softball team earned All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) honors announced by the conference Friday (April 29).
Sophomore Savannah Karako (Fairport Harbor, Ohio/Lake Catholic) earned a Second-Team bid while Senior Kate-Lynn Urgo (Vermillion, Ohio/Vermillion) and sophomore Allyson Hajnosz (Lordstown, Ohio/Lordstown) earned Honorable Mention selections.
Karako played in 42 games for the Storm. She hit .333 with an on-base percentage of .389. She drove in 28 runs while scoring 23 times and stealing four bases. Of her 45 hits, 11 were doubles and one was a triple. This marks the second straight year she has earned All-GLIAC Second-Team honors.
Urgo earned a Honorable Mention selection, her first All-GLIAC nod. She played in 42 games, hitting .336 with an on-base percentage of .396. Urgo had 47 hits with six doubles. She drove in 13 runs and scored 27 times while stealing three bases.
Hajnosz also earned an Honorable Mention selection, her second All-GLIAC selection. Hajnosz played in 41 games while hitting .316 with an on-base percentage of .359 and a slugging percentage of .519. Of her 42 hits, 12 were doubles and five left the park. She drove in 26 runs while scoring 19 times.
