PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College softball team will be in Florida from Sunday (Feb. 26) to Friday (March 3) as they take their annual spring break trip.
Storm: Report: The Storm will be under the direction of first year head coach Rebecca Dyer, and are coming off the most successful season in program history. The Storm was 7-5 in Florida last year. Head Coach Rebecca Dyer said "Our upperclassman will be the backbone of our offense, with hopes of generating more runs than we have in past seasons. Schedule: The Storm will play ten games over the course of six days in Florida. Lake Erie will play, Davenport, and Wheeling Jesuit at 9 and 11:30 a.m. respectively on Sunday (Feb. 26) to open their season. The Storm will then play Kentucky Wesleyan, Michigan-Dearborn, Gannon, Calumet, Cedarville, and Northern State.
Coach Dyer added "We hope to come out of Florida with a winning record like we have in past years. After a week of hard work and sunshine we will be ready to start conference games in March".
Forecast: Lake Erie will have a long break after returning from Florida as their next game will be Tuesday (March 21) against Ursuline.
