BLOOMINGTON, Ind.— Members of the Lake Erie College track and field team competed against some of the best Division I competition at the Hoosier Hills Invitational held at Indian University in Bloomington, Ind. Friday and Saturday (Feb. 14-15).
Dudley jumped a season-best 2.15 meters to finish first, ahead of Peter Stefanski of Miami University (Ohio), who finished in second with a jump of 2.12 meters.
Postwaite jumped a provisional qualifying distance of 15.20 meters, well beyond the University of Cincinnati's Michael Nwanko who took second at a distance of 14.83 meters. Colonel Fakorode took fifth in the event with a jump of 14.02 meters.
Nadia Lee (Tucker, Ga./Tucker) took third in the women's portion of the event with a school record, national provisional cut distance of 11.66 meters.
Destiny Prusky (Newton Falls, Ohio/Newton Falls) placed ninth in the high jump at a provisional cut height of 1.66 meters.
Ariana Jorgensen (Kleinburg, Ont./Emily Carr Secondary) and Ethan Snyder (Salesville, Ohio/Buckeye Trail) ran national provisional cut times of 8.80 and 8.31 seconds but were unable to make the finals of the 60 meter hurdles. Snyder also hit a provisional mark in the 400 meter dash with a run of 48.72 seconds.
