KENT, Ohio – The Lake Erie College track and field team was in action today as they competed in the Kent St. Tune Up meet.
The Storm women were led by Nadia Lee (Tucker, Ga. / Tucker) as she placed second in the triple jump with a distance of 11.79 meters or 38 feet 8.25 inches.
Danielle Corbin (Brooklyn, N.Y. / Walnut Grove (Ga.)) cleared a distance of 5.5 meters or 18 feet, which earned her sixth place honors in the long jump.
Ashley Pryce (Stow, Ohio / Stow Munroe Falls) took seventh place in the 400 meter dash as she crossed the finish line with a time of 59.65 seconds, which is her personal best.
Simone Green (Akron, Ohio / Buchtel) crossed the finish line with a time of 25.64 seconds in the 200 meter dash, which is her best time of the season.
The men were led by Sean Stone (Newton Falls, Ohio / Southeast) as he placed eighth in the weight throw with a distance of 17.21 meters or 56 feet 5.75 inches.
Lake Erie will return to the track next Friday (February 26th) Saturday (February 27th) and Sunday (February 28th) as they compete in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) championships.
