PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College track and field team will be in action Friday (Jan. 20th) when they compete in the Youngstown State Invitational.

Storm Report:  The Storm is coming off of their first meet of 2017 at the Northwest Ohio Invitational.  Simone Green (Akron, Ohio / Buchtel) and Jordan Pritchard (Painesville, Ohio / Lake Catholic) won their respective events.  DJ Graham (Gomer, Ohio / Columbus Grove) broke his own school record in the 3000 meter and finished second.

Head Coach Grant Lofdhal said "This week at YSU will be our first time competing on a 300-meter track, which definitely makes a difference for everyone racing 200 to 5000 meters.  We're hoping to hit an NCAA Provisional mark or two, and we will have a couple of people back healthy. We're getting closer to full strength each week, and everyone has been putting in a lot of hard work".

Forecast: Lake Erie will return to the track Friday (Jan. 27) when they host the Midwest Open at the Spire Institute in Geneva.
