Storm Ready to Run at Hillsdale Wide Classic (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College track and field team will be in action this weekend as they compete in the Hillsdale Wide Track Classic.

Storm Report:  The Storm had good finishes last weekend as they hosted the Midwest Open at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio.  Lake Erie was led by the men's distance medley relay team as they took first place.  DJ Graham (Gomer, Ohio / Columbus Grove) a member of that relay team also took second in the mile. Danielle Corbin (Brooklyn, N.Y. / Walnut Grove (Ga.)) led the women as she took second in the long jump.

Head Coach Grant Lofdahl said "This weekend will be a good test for us. It's good to get back into a smaller, 200-meter track facility, because that's what we'll face at GLIACs. Hillsdale has brought in some good teams from the Midwest and from all over, so the competition will be excellent. Both days should provide ample opportunities to hit some big marks in each event".

Forecast: Lake Erie will return to the track when they travel to Grand Valley State to compete in the Big Meet.
