Storm Set to Compete at the Big Meet (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College track and field team will be in action this weekend when they travel to Grand Valley State to compete in the Big Meet.

Storm Report:  The Storm is coming off a week in which they competed in the Hillsdale Wide Track Classic.  The Storm was led by Nadia Lee (Tucker, Ga. / Tucker) as she hit a NCAA qualifying mark in the triple jump.  Danielle Corbin (Brooklyn, N.Y. / Walnut Grove (Ga.)) and Haley Menix (Alexandria, Ohio / Northridge) each had personal bests in the triple jump last weekend.

Head Coach Grant Lofdahl said "This will be a training week and a rest from competition for the majority of the team, but a small crew of athletes are heading to Grand Valley State for the Big Meet. This is a meet that lives up to its name, and will provide some outstanding competition for our top athletes. We currently have two provisional D2 qualifying marks and two school records on the year, and we're hoping to add more in both categories at GVSU".

Forecast: Lake Erie will return to the track Friday (Feb. 17) when they travel to Findlay to compete in the Meet for Everyone.
