Storm Set for the Meet for Everyone (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College track and field team will be in action Friday (Feb. 17) when they compete in the Meet for Everyone at the University of Findlay.

Storm Report: The Storm was led by performances from five student athletes.  These five all set Division-II provisional qualifying marks.  Nadia Lee (Tucker, Ga. / Tucker) and Danielle Corbin (Brooklyn, N.Y. / Walnut Grove (Ga.)) both set provisional marks in the triple jump and Corbin also set a provisional mark in the long jump.  Jordan Pritchard (Painesville, Ohio / Lake Catholic) hit a provisional mark in the 800, Vincent Horning (Stow, Ohio / Stow) set a school record and a provisional mark in the mile, and DJ Graham (Gomer, Ohio / Columbus Grove) had a provisional mark in the 5000 meter race.

Head Coach Grant Lofdahl said "For us, the goals are sharpen things up, solidify what our GLIAC lineup will look like, and get everyone feeling healthy, confident, and ready to roll. The fact that we can do this at the site of the GLIAC meet is an added bonus, and if we can come out of this meet with more provisional marks or school records, that would be even better".

Forecast: Lake Erie will be back in action Saturday (Feb. 25) when they travel Findlay to compete in the GLIAC Indoor Track and Field Championships.
