BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Lake Erie College track and field team had a pair of students-athletes compete in the NCAA Division-II Indoor National Championships.

Danielle Corbin (Brooklyn, N.Y. / Walnut Grove (Ga.)) was in action as she competed in the long jump.  Corbin's best jump of the day was her second jump as she cleared a distance of 5.63 meters (18 feet. 5.75 inches).  This jump earned her 14th place honors.

Head Coach Grant Lofdahl added "Danielle had a solid second jump and we thought it might get her into the finals, but some of the jumpers in the second flight passed her. A 14th place finish in the country is nothing to be ashamed of, and she's had a great season".

Jordan Pritchard (Painesville, Ohio / Lake Catholic) competed in the 800 meters.  He ran in the second heat and crossed the line in a time 1:59.07 minutes.  Coach Lofdahl added "Jordan was feeling under the weather all day, but he gave it a shot and hung in there with some great runners for about 500 meters".

The outdoor season for Lake Erie will begin on Friday (March 24) when the Storm competes in the Adidas Invite.
