Storm Ready to Run at John Homon Invite (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College track and field team will be in action Saturday (March 8) when they travel to Mount Union University to compete in the John Homon Invite.

Strom Report:  The Storm last competed at the Adidas Invite where Vincent Horning (Stow, Ohio / Stow) set a school record in the 5000 meter race, and DJ Graham (Gomer, Ohio / Columbus Grove) set a school record in the steeplechase.  Head Coach Grant Lofdahl said "We will be looking to hit more provisional national qualifying marks, and I think a couple of school records are in jeopardy this weekend".

Additionally the Storm will be sending a small group of athletes to compete at the Tennessee Relays. Coach Lofdahl added "We're also sending Johanna Moeller and Hailey Nielsen to the Tennessee Relays this week, which will mark LEC's first ever competitors in the women's heptathlon".

Forecast: The Storm will be back in action Friday (April 14) when they compete in the Walsh Invitational.
