Storm Prepared for Great Midwest Championships (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College track and field team will be in action Friday (Feb.23) and Saturday (Feb. 24) when they travel to compete in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championships. 

Storm Report:  The Storm is coming off a good weekend at the Mount Union Tune Up.  The Lake Erie women were led by Johanna Moeller (Bochum, Germany / Schiller-Schule Gymnasium Furjungen Und Madchen) as she won the 60 meter hurdles, as she crossed the finish line in a time of 9.38 seconds.  Madyson Plante (Marlborough, Mass. / Marlborough) added a first place finish in the high jump as she cleared a height of 1.65 meters or 5 feet five inches.  The Storm men were led by Konnell Woods (Addison, Texas / Greenhill School) as he finished fifth in the 60 meter hurdles, as he crossed the line in a time of 8.5 seconds. 

Head Coach Giles Davis said, ""We are excited and welcome the challenge associated with G-MAC Championships. The athletes are looking to have a strong presence at this year's meet, and continue to improve upon personal best and potentially a few school records."
