(ALLIANCE, Ohio) – The first meet of the indoor track & field season took place today as Lake Erie headed to Mount Union for the annual Toy Drive Collegiate Invitational. The amount of athletes that participated were limited, but one Storm racer did particularly well.
Madyson Plante provided the top finish of the day with a third place finish in the 200 meter dash. The sophomore took the bronze after she clocked in at 26.60, just .01 away from second. That belonged to the Purple Raiders' Cortni Arp as Walsh's Juanita Gray took top honors with a 26.20.
The Storm now takes a long layoff as they won't return to action until the new year. Lake Erie's next meet will come in familiar territory, however, as the Green and White heads to Findlay on Saturday, Jan. 12.
