Storm Shows Its On The Rise In G-MAC Championships

(HILLSDALE, Mich.) - The G-MAC Championships came to a close today with the Lake Erie women's track & field team coming in seventh place. The Storm were able to come up with 43 points on the weekend to top last year's total by 22.

Imane Snyder had a huge day as she scored in three separate events. The highlight came in the 4x100 meter relay to open up the running events as the Storm finished third. Snyder ran the second leg after taking the baton from Ashley West. She proceeded to hand off to Luca Hartman with Sydney Crouch closing and crossing the finish line at 48.30., .30 faster than yesterday's prelim time.

The men's 4x100 relay team also ran in the finals and placed eighth. The quartet of Tareeq Welch, Joseph Elson Jr., Tyler Lumpkin, and Terrance White completed the lap with a time of 43.86.

Snyder placed in a pair of individual events as well. The best of those two was the 200 meter where she clocked in at 25.33 for fourth pace. The freshman also placed sixth in the 100 with a time of 12.34.

As is custom, the 4x400 relay closed out the day and saw the Storm place sixth. Ashley West, Sydney Voss, Hartman, and Sydney Crouce made up the quartet that finished the race with a time of 3:59.976. Hartman also ran in the 400 finals and placed seventh to add another pair of points for the Green and White. She completed the lap with a time of 1:01.36.

Johanna Moeller also had a big weekend and brings another medal back home with a third place finish in the 100 meter hurdles. She finished with a time of 14.89 and edged Tiffin's Jazilee Williams by .01 for the spot on the podium.

Josie Chaddock was able to add a point to the board as she placed eighth in the high jump to start off the field events. She cleared 1.62 meters on her final attempt which equaled the third place best, but needed more attempts at earlier heights.
