(Painesville, Ohio) - Madyson Plante has been named on the 2019 NCAA DII USTFCCCA All-Academic list. Plante, a multi-event athlete, is one of a total of 448 women who earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors during the 2018-19 season.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic award, student-athletes must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and have reached a provisional or automatic qualifying standard for the NCAA Championships in either the indoor or outdoor season.
During the 2018-19 season, Plante set a school record in heptathlon and pentathlon. In the pentathlon, Plante was able to clear 1.72 in the high jump. The result in the pentathlon was a centimeter away from tying the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) record set by Tiffin University also in the same season.
As a sophomore, Plante represented Lake Erie College as its only national qualifier at the 2019 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championship and was selected on the G-MAC All-Conference Third Team.
