PAINESVILLE, Ohio - The Lake Erie College women's basketball team opens the month of February with a home game against the Fighting Scots of Ohio Valley University on Saturday (Feb. 3) afternoon. The contest will tip-off at 3:00 PM at the Osborne Center.
Storm Report: Lake Erie entered double-digit wins with a 77-70 win over Davis & Elkins on Tuesday (Jan. 30) night. Kayla Gabor (Mentor, Ohio / Mentor) led the Storm with 22 points as four players scored in double figures. Lake Erie is 10-11 overall and 6-9 in the G-MAC. Gabor leads the Storm with an average of 19.7 points per game while Christine Dawson (Mentor, Ohio / Mentor) has a team-high 9.7 rebounds per contest.
Opposition Position: Ohio Valley comes to Painesville, Ohio winless this season. The Fighting Scots are 0-18 overall and 0-14 in the G-MAC. Ohio Valley fell 76-62 to Ursuline on Thursday (Feb. 1). Amiaya Melvins is the leading scorer for Ohio Valley with 14.3 points per game.
Series History: Lake Erie is 3-0 against Ohio Valley in the series. The Storm defeated the Fighting Scots earlier this season 85-65. Josie Chaddock (Minerva, Ohio / Minerva) scored a career-high 19 points in the contest.
Storm Forecast: The Storm will play their first road game since January 13th as they travel to Findlay on Thursday (Feb. 8) for a game at 8:00 PM.
