PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College women's basketball team will travel to the University of Findlay and Hillsdale College for two Great Midwest contests this week. The Storm will face the Oilers on Thursday (Feb. 8) at 8:00 PM and then the Chargers on Saturday (Feb. 10) at 1:00 PM.
Storm Report: Lake Erie is 11-11 overall and 7-9 in the G-MAC following a 77-66 victory over Ohio Valley on Saturday (Feb. 3) afternoon. Kayla Gabor (Mentor, Ohio / Mentor) led the Storm with 16 points in the game. Gabor is second in the G-MAC with an average of 19.5 points per game. Christine Dawson (Mentor, Ohio / Mentor) is second in the conference with 9.6 rebounds per contest.
Opposition Position: The Oilers are 16-5 overall and 13-4 in the G-MAC this season. Findlay was defeated 77-73 by Walsh in the Oilers' last contest. Anna Hintz is the leading scorer for the Oilers with an average of 17.7 points per game. The Chargers enter a matchup with Ursuline on Thursday with a 13-8 overall mark and 11-6 mark in the G-MAC. Hillsdale defeated Malone 66-62 in their last contest. Makenna Ott leads the Chargers with 14.8 points per game.
Series History: Lake Erie fell 83-62 to Findlay in January at home. The Storm is 3-12 against the Oilers in the series. Lake Erie took the opening meeting of the season with Hillsdale by a 71-64 victory this season. The Storm has a 4-9 record overall against the Chargers.
