PAINESVILLE, Ohio- The Lake Erie Storm women's basketball team returned to defend their home court tonight against the top team in the G-MAC, Cedarville University.
The contest got off to a quick start with 4 three pointers made between both teams, which put Cedarville ahead 9-4, and the Yellow Jackets didn't let up until the fourth quarter when the Storm scored 18 points to cut Cedarville's lead to seven with 2:30 left to play, with the help of a couple three pointers by Farrah Benner and key drives to the basket by Josie Chaddock. The Storm defense couldn't contain the Yellow Jackets though, and they lost the contest 63-51.

In comparison, Lake Erie shot 18% from range. While the Yellow Jackets performed better shooting, the Storm's ball handling helped out, as they committed five less turnovers.
