The Lake Erie Storm women's basketball team dropped its' home opener tonight to the Ferris State University Bulldogs with a final score of 64-85. With the win, the Bulldogs increase its record to 1-0, while the Storm falls to 0-1 to start.
Leading the Storm in points this evening was senior guard Josie Chaddock. Chaddock scored 15 points, making good on seven of 15 field goal attempts with a three-pointer. Senior Farrah Benner came off the bench and added 14 points with one block. Lainey Billing helped the Storm out big on defense, grabbing four defensive rebounds and a block.

The Storm will take on Wayne St. tomorrow afternoon in their final matchup of the GLIAC crossover. Wayne St. played Walsh University, the top-ranked team from the G-MAC 2019-2020 Preseason Coaches Poll and lost with a final score of 66-96. Tip-off is set for 4 pm. General admission to all Storm athletic events is $5.00, with the exception of children under the age of 12. Lake Erie College faculty, students, and staff get in free with their Storm ID.
