  • Storm Loses to Malone, 58-42
    January 16, 2021
    On Saturday afternoon, the Lake Erie College women's basketball team fell to the visiting Malone Pioneers, 58-42. The loss drops the Storm's record to 0-6, while Malone improves to 3-7 in a season in which G-MAC teams only play other teams within the conference.

    The Lake Erie women’s basketball team returns back to action Saturday, Jan. 16 as they host Malone (2-7 G-MAC). This will be the second match between the two teams this season. In the first battle on New Year's Eve, the Pioneers downed the Storm 112-63.

    On Thursday night, the Lake Erie women's basketball team fell to Tiffin, 67-56. The loss marked the fifth straight for the Storm to start the 2020-21 season.

    After a week filled with schedule changes and adjustments due to Covid-19 protocols, the Lake Erie women's basketball team (0-4, 0-4 G-MAC) look to get their first victory of the season. The Storm will focus their attention on Thursday, January 14 with a home match up against the Tiffin Dragons (4-4, 4-4 G-MAC).
  • Flannery scores 19 as Arrows defeat Storm

    The Lake Erie women's basketball team struggled on the road at Ursuline College (4-3, 4-3 G-MAC) tonight as the Arrows won 81-72.  With their fourth-straight loss, Lake Erie drops to a 0-4 record in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.

    Lake Erie (0-3, 0-3 G-MAC) women's basketball is looking enter the win column for the first time this season after dropping two straight games against Ohio Dominican (Jan. 2) and Hillsdale (Jan. 4). The Storm will make a short road trip to Ursuline College (3-3) on Thursday, January 7 for a 5:30 pm tip-off.
  • Storm Fall to Hillsdale, 76-66

    The Lake Erie women's basketball team lost to Hillsdale on Monday, 76-66. This was the Storm's third unsuccessful try at getting in the win column in the young season. Coming off of a disappointing loss at home to Ohio Dominican on Saturday, the ladies team returned to the hardwood at the Osborne Center on Monday to take on the Chargers of Hillsdale.
  • Women's Basketball Loses Home Opener

    After a delayed start to the season due to COVID restrictions, the Lake Erie College women's basketball team finally hit the hardwood at their home court, losing to Ohio Dominican, 92-57 at the Osborne Center. This defeat follows a road loss to Malone in the season opener on December 31.

  • Indoor Events Will Be Closed To Spectators

    Lake Erie College has announced that all indoor athletic events taking place during the 2020-21 season will be without fans because of the state of the COVID-19 pandemic. The difficult decision was made in order to lower the risk of transmission for safekeeping of student-athletes, coaches, and athletic event personnel.

  • Looking Back: Lake Erie Sinks Grand Valley

    As a fresh face in Division II, the 2009-10 Lake Erie women’s basketball team wanted to let others know it wasn’t just a new pushover that recently moved up from D-III. As the calendar year was about to close, the Storm saw themselves at 8-8 after a brutal schedule that saw them face off with a pair of tournament qualifiers the year before, another that qualified later that season, and two Division I opponents in Akron and Cleveland State.
