(MOUNT VERNON, Ohio) – Josie Townsend ended the fall season competing in the Fall Cougar Classic hosted by Mount Vernon Nazarene University. The event proved to be a long day as everyone golfed through 36 holes in one day.
Townsend battled through and kept to her average lows of the year with a 106 in the opening round and closed with a season-best 104.
"I'm really proud of Jose with her performance on Saturday," said first year head coach Brody Harwell. "Playing 36 holes and completing over 10-straight hours is a challenge and she shot her low round of the year."
Townsend will be back on the links in competition in the spring semester.
