PAINESVILLE, OHIO -- Freshmen Julia Kudla (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) and Kim Dang (Atlanta, Ga./Jackson) each scored four goals and classmate Meredith Howe (Fayetteville, N.Y./Jamesville Dewitt) scored three as the Lake Erie College women's lacrosse team rolled to its second straight win in emphatic fashion with a 20-0 rout at Waynesburg University on Wednesday (March 24).

Playing for the first time in nearly three weeks, Lake Erie showed little rust. Nine different players scored for the Storm (2-1), which set school records for shots, goals, assists, points and margin of victory in notching the first shutout in school history.
Howe and Dang each scored three times in the first half as the Storm built an 11-0 lead. Kudla added and Brittany Rabuano (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn) added two goals apiece and Allison Trombetti (Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy) had Lake Erie's other goal of the opening half.
In the second half, Kudla (twice), Dang and Trombetti all scored again while junior Caitlyn Malay (Pittsburgh, Pa./Bethel Park/Waynesburg) scored her first two goals of the season against her former team. Freshmen Melanie O'Donnell (Mentor, Ohio/Villa Angela-St. Joseph) and Nicole Crist (Aston, Pa./Sun Valley) and sophomore Liz Stephens (North Royalton, Ohio/North Royalton) all found the net for the first time in their respective careers.
Kudla and Howe added three assists each for seven- and six-point afternoons, respectively.
Goalkeeper Brittanie Johnson (Hilliard, Ohio/Darby) stopped the only two shots she faced in earning her second win of the season in net.
The Storm outshot the Yellow Jackets (0-3) 46-4 in the contest and had a 21-14 edge in ground balls.
Lake Erie will host Queens College (N.Y.) at noon on Saturday, March 27, in its home and East Coast Conference opener at Alumni Stadium in Perry, Ohio.
